Dosage & Administration

Dosing by Condition

Smoking cessation (adults): If first cigarette >30 minutes after waking, use 2 mg gum; Weeks 1-6: 1 piece every 1-2 hours; Weeks 7-9: every 2-4 hours; Weeks 10-12: every 4-8 hours, then taper/stop; If first cigarette ≤30 minutes after waking, 4 mg gum is generally recommended instead of 2 mg.
