Indications

Approved Uses

Temporary relief of burning and irritation due to dryness of the eye and protection against further irritation (dry eye symptoms).

Off-Label Uses

Common non-prescription uses include lubrication for environmental/visual-task-related dryness (e.g., screen use) and adjunct lubrication after ocular procedures when advised by an eye-care professional; not intended to rewet contact lenses unless specifically labeled for that purpose.

Dosage & Administration

Initial Dose

Instill 1 to 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.

Maintenance Dose

1-2 drops in affected eye(s) up to 4 times daily or as needed

Maximum Dose

No established maximum daily dose; use as needed per symptoms (per OTC directions).

How to Take

For ophthalmic use: wash hands; remove contact lenses; instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed; avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye/skin/surfaces; blink gently and recap. If using other eye medicines, separate by at least 5-10 minutes; wait ~15 minutes before reinserting contact lenses.

Mechanism of Action
