Indications
Approved Uses
Hypertrophic scars and keloids, and cosmetically disfiguring or movement-restricting scars after surgery, burns, or trauma (including amputations).
Dosage & Administration
Dosing by Condition
New scars (after complete wound closure/suture removal): apply and massage 2-3 times daily for at least 3 months; old/hard hypertrophic scars/keloids: apply 2-3 times daily for several months (often 3-6 months) and may use overnight occlusion if needed.
Maximum Dose
Apply a thin layer to the scar 2-3 times daily (typical maximum: 3 times/day).
Dose Adjustment Notes
No dose adjustment is required in renal or hepatic impairment (topical use with minimal systemic absorption).
How to Take
Apply a thin layer to the scar on intact, fully healed skin and massage gently until absorbed, 2-3 times daily; for old/hard scars, it may be applied under an occlusive dressing overnight if tolerated. Avoid eyes/mucous membranes and do not apply to open wounds.

Pharmacology
Mechanism of Action
Combination anti-scar action: heparin helps hydrate/soften scar tissue and modulate fibroblast activity; onion extract provides anti-inflammatory/anti-proliferative effects; allantoin supports keratolysis and epithelial remodeling, together improving scar pliability and appearance.
Metabolism
Not clinically relevant/unknown; primarily local action with negligible systemic metabolism expected.
Protein Binding
Not applicable/unknown because systemic absorption is negligible with topical use.
