Symptomatic relief of gastrointestinal gas-related discomfort (bloating, flatulence, fullness/pressure).

Off-Label Uses

Adjunct to reduce bowel gas for abdominal imaging (e.g., ultrasound) or endoscopic/radiologic procedures (practice varies by local protocol).

Dosage & Administration

Dosing by Condition

Gas/bloating: Adults and adolescents: 40-125 mg after meals and at bedtime as needed. Children 2-12 years: 40 mg after meals and at bedtime as needed. Infants/children <2 years: 20 mg (0.5 mL of 40 mg/mL) up to 4 times daily as needed (around feeds).

Initial Dose

Adults: 40 to 125 mg orally four times daily as needed after meals and at bedtime

Maximum Dose

Adults: 500mg per 24 hours. Children 2-12 years: 480mg per 24 hours. Infants & Children <2 years: 240mg per 24 hours.

Infants <2 years (<10.9 kg): 20 mg orally up to 4 times daily as needed (max 240 mg/day). Children 2-12 years (>10.9 kg): 40 mg orally up to 4 times daily as needed (max 480 mg/day).

Dose Adjustment Notes

No dose adjustment is required in renal or hepatic impairment.

How to Take

Shake well before use. Measure the dose with the provided dropper. May be given directly by mouth or mixed with a small amount of water, milk, or infant formula; administer after meals and at bedtime (or around feeds in infants).
