Indications

Approved Uses

Temporary relief of burning and irritation due to dryness of the eye (dry eye symptoms).

Off-Label Uses

Supportive ocular surface lubrication (e.g., post-operative dryness or environmental/medication-related dryness) may be used based on clinician advice, but these are not approved indications.

Dosage & Administration

Dosing by Condition

Dry eye symptoms: Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed throughout the day.

Initial Dose

Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.

Maintenance Dose

1-2 drops per eye, repeated as needed throughout the day

Maximum Dose

Dose Adjustment Notes

No dose adjustment is required in renal or hepatic impairment (negligible systemic absorption with ophthalmic use).

How to Take

Wash hands. Open the single-dose vial by twisting off the top. Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed; avoid touching the tip to the eye or any surface. Blink normally and recap is not applicable. Discard the unit-dose vial immediately after use (do not reuse), even if solution remains.

Patient Counseling

For ophthalmic use to relieve symptoms of dry eye as needed. Use 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed. Single-dose vial: twist off top, instill drops without touching the tip to eye/skin/surfaces, and discard immediately after opening (do not save remaining solution). If using other eye products, separate by at least 5-10 minutes. Contact lenses: remove before use and reinsert after ~15 minutes (or as directed on labeling). Temporary blurred vision may occur-avoid driving/operating machinery until vision clears.
