Benefits & Uses

Used for obesity management, covering weight loss and weight maintenance alongside a reduced-calorie diet, and to reduce weight regain after weight loss. It inhibits the absorption of 25 to 30% of dietary fat by reversible inhibition of gastrointestinal lipases, acting in the stomach and small intestine.

Usage & Dosage

The recommended dose is one capsule with each main meal, taken immediately before, during or up to one hour after the meal, up to three times a day. Skip the dose if a meal is missed or contains no fat.

Safety & Warnings

It is contraindicated in hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any excipient, in chronic malabsorption syndrome, in cholestasis, and during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Faecal fat rises within 24 to 48 hours of dosing and returns to pre-treatment levels within 48 to 72 hours after stopping.
