Indications

Approved Uses

Treatment of superficial skin injuries/wounds with risk of infection (e.g., minor cuts, abrasions/scratches, skin fissures, and mild/superficial burns) and support of wound healing.

Off-Label Uses

No well-established off-label uses; it is sometimes used in practice for minor superficial burns or irritated fissures where infection risk is a concern, but this should not replace evaluation of significant burns/dermatitis.

Dosage & Administration

Dosing by Condition

Superficial wounds/skin injuries with infection risk: apply a thin layer to the cleaned affected area 1-2 times daily; continue until healed and seek medical advice if not improving or if infection worsens.

Initial Dose

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily

Maintenance Dose

Apply 1-2 times daily until wound healing is complete

Maximum Dose

Apply a thin layer 1-2 times daily; avoid prolonged use and avoid application to large body surface areas unless medically directed.

Overdose
