Indications

Approved Uses

Lubrication and moisturization of the ocular surface for symptomatic relief of dry eye (e.g., dryness, burning, foreign-body sensation/irritation).

Off-Label Uses

Adjunct lubrication for ocular surface irritation (e.g., contact lens-related dryness/irritation) and peri-/post-operative ocular surface lubrication when directed by an eye-care professional.

Dosage & Administration

Dosing by Condition

Dry eye: Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) about 3 times daily; may be used more frequently as needed for symptom control.

Initial Dose

1 drop into the affected eye(s) 3 times daily

Maintenance Dose

Instill one drop into the affected eye(s) 3 times daily, or as needed for comfort.

Maximum Dose

No fixed maximum dose; typical use is 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 3-4 times daily, and if frequent use is needed (e.g., >10 times/day) the patient should be assessed by an eye-care professional.

Dose Adjustment Notes

No dose adjustment is required; dosing frequency may be increased or decreased based on symptom severity and patient response.

How to Take

Wash hands. Tilt head back, pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket, instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac, then close/blink gently. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye/skin/any surface. Recap/close the container after use.

Storage & Patient Advice

Missed Dose

Use the drop when remembered; if it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and resume the usual schedule (do not double).

Overdose

Overdose is unlikely with ophthalmic use; excess instilled drops can be wiped away or the eye rinsed with clean water/saline, and no specific antidote is required.

Patient Counseling
