Product Features
- Removes lice and nits by combing through small sections of hair from scalp to ends in multiple directions.
- Catches nits close to the scalp, where lice eggs are laid and hatch just a fraction of an inch from the root.
- Complements lice treatments such as permethrin or pyrethrin when used alongside them for a more thorough approach.
- Works as a standalone method when used carefully and consistently throughout the entire head of hair.
- Cleans easily between strokes by dipping teeth into soapy water or wiping with a paper towel after each swipe.
How to Use
- Part the hair down the middle and clip up one half to keep it out of the way.
- On the loose side, pick up one small section of hair about the width of the lice comb and start combing from the scalp to catch nits and lice.
- Comb each section in multiple directions - up, down, left, and right - pulling the comb all the way through to the ends of the hair.
- After each swipe, flick the comb teeth into a bowl, dip the comb in soapy water, or wipe it with a paper towel to remove any lice or nits.
- Continue combing each section until the comb comes out clean, then twist and clip the combed hair aside and repeat across the entire head.
- Once finished, unclip all hair, rinse out any conditioner, and clean the comb and clips in hot soapy water; wash the clothes worn during the comb-out.
Usage Tips
- Start combing at the scalp with each section of hair to ensure you catch nits, which are laid and hatch just a fraction of an inch from the scalp.
- After each swipe, flick the comb teeth into a bowl, dip the comb in soapy water, or wipe it with a paper towel to avoid spreading lice.
- Keep combing each section in multiple directions - up, down, left, and right - until the comb comes out completely clean with no lice or nits.
- After completing the comb-out, rinse the comb and any clips used in hot, soapy water to thoroughly clean them.
- Wash the clothes worn by you and your child during the comb-out session once finished.
