How to Use

1. Hands are washed with warm water and mild soap and dried thoroughly before the device is used.
2. A sterile test strip is inserted into the monitor's test strip port; a droplet symbol on the display indicates the monitor is ready.
3. A sterile lancet is used to puncture the side of a finger, and the finger is held at an angle so that either side of the test strip touches the blood droplet, allowing blood to be drawn into the strip.
4. The monitor begins a 5-second countdown, after which the blood glucose reading, unit, date, and time are displayed on the screen.

Safety Tips

• Only sterile lancets are used to puncture the finger to reduce the risk of contamination.
• Only sterile test strips compatible with Contour Next meters are inserted into the test strip port.
• Hands are fully dried before use, as moisture on the fingers may affect the accuracy of the blood sample collection.

Storage

• Test strips are stored away from direct sunlight and heat to maintain their integrity.
• The meter and test strips are kept out of reach of children.
• Test strips are used before the expiry date printed on the packaging.
