The skin and surrounding areas around the injury are patted dry with a soft, clean washcloth or cotton to allow the strip to adhere properly.
The steri-strip is applied to one side of the wound.

The other side of the steri-strip is then applied to secure the closure.

The steri-strips are stored in a cool, dry place to maintain their adhesive properties.
