Indications

Approved Uses

Symptomatic treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other functional gastrointestinal disorders where smooth‑muscle spasm causes abdominal pain/cramps (often described as spastic/irritable colon).

Dosage & Administration

Dosing by Condition

IBS/functional GI spasm: 135 mg orally three times daily, preferably about 20 minutes before meals.

Initial Dose

One 135mg tablet three times daily.

Maintenance Dose

One 135mg tablet three times daily; dosage may be gradually reduced after several weeks if the desired effect is achieved.

Maximum Dose

405 mg/day (135 mg three times daily)

How to Take

Swallow the 135 mg film‑coated tablet whole with water; do not chew or crush. Preferably take about 20 minutes before meals.
